Chocolate & Latin Jazz Night - October 28, 2016 (The Weekend of Dia De Los Muertos)

Posted by Patricia Tsai on

Celebrate the weekend before Dia De Los Muertos with Latin Jazz performed by the amazing Ken Weiner who blew us all away at our last Jazz event!  We will be bringing back our Tamales that night and through out the weekend!

Costumes are heavily encouraged for this event! Perhaps you'll see some Oompa Loompas in costume as well!

The music will only be around on Friday but you can get Tamales for the entire weekend.

No Cover Charge for the event. Tamales will be 1 for $6 or 2 for $10!

Ken Weiner is an aficionado of traditional and straight-ahead jazz.  He grew up playing tenor saxophone in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He studied engineering and jazz at UCLA where he won the Cannonball Adderly Memorial Scholarship.

His rich sound can be heard on recordings by David Tobocman and the swing band Speak Easy Spies. Ken plays frequently around Los Angeles with his own jazz group and as a member of the Del Rey Jazz Band, Roberto Cordero Quintet, LA Love Band, and Geoff Mann Group.
