Shortage of Vanilla Beans

We have 2 bars that contain Vanilla Beans, Coffee + Vanilla and our Jesus Maria (Mexican Vanilla Bean) + Black Salt. The vanilla in the Coffee & Vanilla bar comes from Uganda. They are dried more than typical vanilla beans so they can easily go thru our stone grinder. The vanilla from the Jesus Maria Bar comes from our partner plantation where we also source our cacao in Tabasco, Mexico. The Vanilla Beans from Uganda and Mexico have very different flavors. Uganda has an earthy, sweet flavor while the Mexican Vanilla beans are light and fruity. On our last trip to the plantation in May 2017, there weren't enough Vanilla Beans to harvest. We will unfortunately have to wait for our next crop of Mexican Vanilla Beans in 2018. So get your Jesus Maria Bar while you can!
