Amber Oolong Tea Dark Chocolate Bar - 60% Cacao

This wonderful bar of our Amber Oolong Tea Dark Chocolate Bar brings together two exceptional ingredients, tea from Taiwan’s lush Alishan Mountains, and single-origin Tirintario cacao from the jungles of southern Mexico.

This tea takes its name from the wonderful amber-coloured infusion. Just like the tea in Tiekuanyin Tea Chocolate Bar, its leaves are rolled into little balls. This tea derives its complexity from roasting. The infusion presents itself with a stunning, sweet flavour of honey and prunes.

For this creation, we’ve blended the tea with the 2024 harvest of Trinitario cacao beans, known for its fruity and creamy profile that distinguishes them from the 2023 harvest.

This bar offers a light aroma of subtle sweet flavors balanced by the smooth, rich creaminess of the 2024 cacao harvest.

Percentage of Cacao : 60%

A well-rounded and enjoyably sweet guilt-free snack, all of our chocolate is ethically sourced directly from our sustainable farm in Tabasco, Mexico. So the only thing on your mind is eating more chocolate.

The Origin Story of Cacao:

Our cacao farms lie within the archaeological zones of Maya territory, where cacao has been cherished and celebrated for centuries. By honoring the traditions of the Maya and the deep-rooted history of cacao, we maintain the purity and integrity of our chocolate's rich flavor. From Soil-to-Bar, we ensure that our products are in harmony with Mother Nature's intentions.

The Origin Story

One farm. One farmer. Every bar.

The cacao comes from Vicente Guiterrez at the Jesus Maria Plantation in Tabasco, Mexico — a 100-year-old farm in the original cacao-growing region of the ancient world.

“Cacao is a commodity product, but I don't believe in quantity. It's about quality. We grow with integrity.”

About The Cacao

Why this cacao is different

Minimally fermented → lower acid → more antioxidants

Our beans are fermented for fewer than three days. Less fermentation means lower acidity — and research shows it preserves far more of the flavanols (the antioxidants) in the finished chocolate.

Organically grown, using sustainable practices

Our beans are organically grown and more than fair-trade. We work continuously with our grower to protect the region and educate the community around the plantation.
