What dreams are made of, our Hazelnut Cacao Butter is the most popular butter in our range! We stone grind roasted hazelnuts and cacao nibs together with a touch of salt and sugar. The high natural fat content of hazelnuts provides the creamiest texture along with a distinct flavor. There are imitators, but this butter is the real deal!  

In leu of cocoa powder we use cacao nibs; in order for the butter to provide the same antioxidants and health benefits of eating cacao. We do the work of grinding our organic nibs up for you!  All our nibs are minimally fermented so you receive more nutrients from the cacao.  Studies have shown that the more days cacao is fermented the less antioxidants remain inside the chocolate. 

Unlike other hazelnut spreads, this Cacao Butter is all natural with NO filler oils. This means that similar to natural nut butters, the oil will separate and harden in both jar and packets. This is completely normal and there is an easy fix! Warm your jar up in the microwave for 20 seconds and stir. For Cacao Butter Packets, lightly knead with your hands to warm them up. Both packets and jars last 6 months unrefrigerated.

Our Cacao Beans are Different

We use an old technique called the Mayan method where the beans are less acidic and less bitter while maintaining a higher level of antioxidants. Taste the difference.

Our beans are specially fermented for less than 3 days. This creates less acidity. Research has shown that less days of fermentation means more flavanols are maintained in the chocolate.
