Not your ordinary Butter! In leu of cocoa powder we use cacao nibs; in order for the butter to provide the same antioxidants and health benefits of eating cacao. We do the work of grinding our organic nibs up for you!  All our nibs are minimally fermented so you receive more nutrients from the cacao. Studies have shown that the more days cacao is fermented the less antioxidants remain inside the chocolate.

The Unsweetened Hazelnut Cacao Butter has all the flavor of our classic Hazelnut Butter, with NO sugar! Try this butter for an unaltered taste of cacao in its purest form. This is the perfect spread for those following a Paleo, Keto, or low carb lifestyle. Similar to our original Hazelnut, this butter is a stone ground mixture of lightly roasted hazelnuts, nibs and a touch of salt.

Since we do NOT add any additional oils such as palm fruit oil or cacao butter, Unsweetened Hazelnut Cacao Butter will naturally firm up and separate after a few days. Hardening is completely natural and there is an easy fix! Warm up your jar in the microwave for 20 seconds, or set it out in the sun, stir, and enjoy. For the Cacao Butter Packets, it’s just as easy. When you’re ready to eat, just gently knead the packet for a few seconds to warm up, then enjoy!

Our Cacao Beans are Different

We use an old technique called the Mayan method where the beans are less acidic and less bitter while maintaining a higher level of antioxidants. Taste the difference.

Our beans are specially fermented for less than 3 days. This creates less acidity. Research has shown that less days of fermentation means more flavanols are maintained in the chocolate.
